ESKAN Day ESKAN - Eshwarasai Kala Niketan is a charitable trust formed on 24th May, 2004. During its First Anniversary Celebrations, ESKAN gave its 1st ESKAN Awards to the winners in the painting competition held on 22nd May, 2005. The Awards function held at "Indira Priya Dharshini Auditorium" Public Gardens, Hyderabad on 24th May, 2005.  The Chief Guest to this function was Dr. Ramu, Director, Jawahar Bal Bhavan. Shri G.Y. Giri as a Guest of honour, Jury Members Sri Narendra Rai, Sri Narappa and Dr. Jayanth and several eminent artists from the city attended the function. Firstly, the movie presentation was made in remembrance of Late Shri M. Eshwariah, Artist. Then the chief guest Dr. Ramu said in his speech "in remembrance of service did by Late Shri M. Eshwaraih in the field of art, and today encouraging the budding artists by the ESKAN is really appreciable." Later Guest of Honour Shri G.Y. Giri says about M. Eshwariah in his speech as "true man" and blessed the ESKAN for its success in future. Dr. Jayanth one of the Jury Member said about Eshwariah as" he is a soft-spoken and strong-willed man".  Later the Judges were felicitated with garland, shawls and mementoes by Shri M. Sanjay Kumar, Founder, Treasurer for ESKAN. Also Shri Kishen, Art Teacher- Jawahar Bal Bhavan is felicitated with Garland, Shawls and Memontoes by the Guest of Honour, Shri G. Y Giri. The awards to the winners given by the Chief guest and President of ESKAN, Smt. Kumari , Later to entertain the children a magic show performed by Shri Purushotam.
